Andy Sixx is the lead vocalist of the post-hardcore band Black Veil Brides. Andy was born on December 26th of 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio with the birthname of Andrew Dennis Biersack. He currently lives in Hollywood California.
He’s had a pretty long and successful career for someone so young. He’s been a junior olympian hockey player, a commerical actor, a model, and of course he also has his band. His first band prior to Black Veil Brides was called Biersack, obviously after his last name.

Actually it’s 2 x. It’s his stage name he always talks about he and a couple other people have unessesary letters. His real name is Andrew Dennis biersack.
Well actually, Biersack was his birth name but he always loves Nikki Sixx, so his dad used to call him that, so then his stagename was Andy Sixx. Then he got accused of stealing it and changed it to Andy Six, but now it’s back to Biersack. Just saying.

Yeah, Andy is pretty hot, but you shouldn’t judge him becauce of how he looks/dresses. If you haven’t read any of his blogs, you should, because he’s a really amazing guy- inside and out. He stands up for what he believes in and what he thinks it right. If he wants to dress how he does, or wear a lot of makeup, that’s fine. If he decides he doesn’t want to wear makeup and wants to dress differently, that’s fine too. I personally think the way he dresses is cool. I don’t like that he smokes so much, though. He loves his fans, and I wish he would/could take into consideration that if he keeps smoking as much as he does now his fans will be heartbroken when he’s in the hospital, dying with lung cancer. The thought makes me so sad, and I really hope that never happens, but it could. Please cut back on the cigarettes, Andy!

You’re right. There are a lot of people who don’t look anywhere near as hot in action as they do in their photos. Though I have to say that he is an exception to the rule. I think he looks hot in the majority of his videos. If you’ve checked out the vids of Alex Evans and Alex McKee on this site, I don’t think that either one of them look anywhere near as attractive on video as they do in their pics. That’s just my opinion though.

Wow, I’ve been thinking something similar but not so harsh for a while but haven’t said anything. Black Veil Brides isn’t a bad band, but I honestly don’t think they’d be anywhere near as famous as they are, and possibly not very famous at all, if it weren’t for Andy being a very friendly hottie.
When I first listened to their stuff, I was like . . . man, they sound a lot like Avenged Sevenfold. Then I noticed in one of Andy Sixx’s pics that he was wearing an Avenged Sevenfold shirt.
Mer, with the way that girls go crazy for them . . . you would think that they would have at least one generally mind blowing song. I’m not intentionally trying to bash the band. It’s a good band. But from all of their music that I’ve listened to thus far (and there isn’t much, btw) I don’t get the hype. It took a bit of repeated listening before their songs even started growing on me.
I can’t help but wonder how many people (mainly referring to girls, gay guys, and bi guys) have actually fallen in love with this band without ever having seen a picture of Andy Sixx.
I’d say that “generic mind blowing song” would be knifes and pens.
I personally like some of their other songs better, but would agree that Knives and Pens seems to be the song their best known for. Still, it personally didn’t blow my mind the first time I heard it. In fact, Knives and Pens was the first song by Black Veil Brides that I’d ever heard.
I found Andy Sixx when I was looking at pictures of hot emo guys for the site. I think I saw on another site that he had a band, so I was like “oh, cool, I’ll go check it out”. So, to YouTube I went and watched the video for Knives and Pens. I thought five things after I watched the video: They sound . . . A LOT like Avenged Severfold :-/ This will definitely go on EmoRawr. Damn, this guy is hot. I loves me some screamers. XD And I’m going to download the rest of their stuff to see what it sounds like.
After listening to everything they have for a few times, it did grow on me. I must admit, they don’t have any songs that I think completely suck. The lyrics don’t really speak to me though, and there’s no one song that I could listen to repeatedly. However, as I mentioned before, they are a good band. I do like them. And they are, in fact, on my MP3 player as I type this. I’m not saying that they aren’t talented.
I think my basic point is that having a hot lead singer can make a band much more famous than they would be if they had an average looking or unattractive lead singer. At risk of sticking my foot in my mouth, 30 Seconds to Mars is a great example. The hype has died down about them, but for a while they were really hot shit. I’ve listened to every one of their songs many times over (and they have A LOT of music) and I can safely say that I can count the songs by them that I actually like on one hand. I think there are literally only 5. But, Jared Leto is smoking hot, and I am admittedly a big fan of his. I absolutely loved him in Requiem for a Dream. And I won’t lie, the songs I do like by 30 Seconds to Mars are songs that I REALLY like. If I REALLY like a song, usually when it plays on my MP3 player, I’ll repeat it about 3 times before I move on to the next song.
I think the real moral of the story is that attractiveness boosts fame. I’m sure there are a lot of bands that just suck and didn’t get anywhere just because they had attractive lead singers. And there are certainly a few shitty bands out there with ugly lead singers that somehow managed to rise to fame.
In the end, taste in music comes down to personal opinion. I just always like to wonder how famous some bands would be if they didn’t have hot lead singers.

Emo means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Though the base word stands for emotional, a fashion style and culture was derived from it whether you want to admit it or not. If that wasn’t true then almost everyone in the world would be considered emo because, trust me, I know tons of emotional people who are not “emo” at all. “Emo”, as what the general public considers it, is someone you spot in a crowd, not someone who can’t keep their emotions under tow despite how they look. If that were the case then emo wouldn’t even exist as a culture.
If emo kids don’t get put on websites, then I guess the thousands of emo kids on Vampire Freaks, Facebook, and MySpace, not to mention the hundreds of websites dedicated to emos . . . I guess those kids aren’t really emo in your eyes. I guess Andy Sixx, Alex McKee, and Alex Evans weren’t ever emo either. I think most people on this site would highly disagree with most of your opinions.
By the way, attraction is in the eye of the beholder. Believe it or not, some people don’t find smoking attractive. Perhaps that’s because it smells and tastes gross when you kiss a person who has just finished smoking a cigarette. There are so many different levels of attration. Personally, I actually listened to the song on the radio before I went to check it out, I think their a real good band. Which I actually SAW Andy Sixx, better known as Andrew, I fell in love. They’re songs usually don’t speak out to normal everyday people that have no-crappy lives..good for them. Not trying to trash on you or anything but I personally believe this band will be just as famous as Guns N’ Roses once was, and still is.
I am an rock n’ roll child, everything from Metallica to Evanesence[Excuse miss spellings], I absolutely love the fact that Andrew actually listens to the same music as I do. Not only that but Andrew isn’t the only hot guy on the band, the entire band is actually not bad looking, occasionally you’ll get that guy that doesn’t look so good, but in BVB its not there. xD I have the same problem with my hair excepts mines like super curly…used to be wavy tghough x3, er…well i dont know if you do this already but take your time, dont rush your…get up earlier in the morning if you have to. :3 also after every couples time you flat iron a piece or part of your, brush through it several more…o: forgot one vital part..put on heat balm for your hair …its like in the shampoo/conditioner/hair department of stores…. XD sorry this is so long. just really get where your coming from

In today’s society, we live in a very materialistic and ‘clone’ world. i.e. we have to look like and do what the people around us see fitting. It limits us and restricts us all…who can ever hope to find ultimate happiness and self if we just do what they want to do.
