The members of the band have held steady since 1998 and have managed to produce eight studio albums in the bands 20 year history. Yup, this band has been around longer than most of you have even been alive.
Staring in the snow,
Watching the cold,
Feeling alone,
Cooing the crows,
I’ve seen death,
I’ve experienced betrayal,
I’ve isolated myself,
and I’ve still felt alone,
God gives me my purpose,
Alex gives me life,
But despite it all I live in strife,
God has spoken,
Destiny has laughed,
I’m alone for now,
But the time will come,
And god shall smile and all will be done.

A Cursive Memory is considered to be alternative rock, indie rock, or pop punk. The band hails from Rancho Palos Verdes, California and was originally called Sincerely Me. The band was formed when in 2003 after Colin and Shaun had met at a birthday party. Sincerely Me was originally a cover band, doing covers of songs for Jimmy Eat World and blink-182. Whenever the band started writing their own music, they changed their name to A Cursive Memory.
A Cursive Memory’s successful musical career began while they were all still in high school. Through much promotion via the local sound circuit, the band caught the attention of Bunim/Murray Productions (The Real World/Road Rules). Success really started to boom when their song Club Revolution Remix was featured on an episode of The Real World.
